  • The Finance and Administration Officer will be based in Zambezia, Mozambique.
  • Day to day processing of transactions in compliance with PATH and donor guidelines
  • Prepare forms and receipts for payments (ex. consultant payment) and reimbursements for approval
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting data and filing of documents.
  • Work with Site Administrator to compile monthly field office financial reports.
  • Review project monthly expense report and prepare monthly financial requests in close collaboration with the MalariaCare Country Coordinator for Mozambique.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to partner organizations to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient compliance with project financial requirements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and keep project coordinator updated about spending against project budgets.
  • Conduct pre-qualification reviews and selection of potential vendors to ensure value for money and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Contribute to internal PATH project financial reporting function.
  • Assist with the disbursement of workshop allowances and other payments for MalariaCare activities
  • Reconcile advances against actual expenditures
  • Maintain MalariaCare filing
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, trainings and supervision activities;
  • Ensuring timely reporting of project costs
  • Required Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable USAID rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, and financial software.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and Portuguese.
  • Flexibility to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, MBA preferred, Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior administrative and financial management position in an international organization, including supervision of finance and administration teams, experience in developing, monitoring and reporting on complex budgets, experience working for an international organization.
  • You must have legal authorization to work in Mozambique.
